Meet Our Skilled Team

  • Dr. Elaine Binor

    University of Wisconsin-Madison, 2005

Certified in Veterinary Acupuncture and Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner

Dr. Binor has been part of the Wauwatosa Vet family since 2008 and in addition to being certified in Canine Rehabilitation and Veterinary Acupuncture, she has special interests in geriatric medicine, pain management for pets and soft tissue surgery.  Prior to vet school Dr. Binor earned a Masters Degree in Developmental Neurobiology and also did some teaching.  She loves that every day at the clinic is a little different and that she gets to help her patients with a wide variety of health concerns, in addition to keeping them active and healthy throughout their lifetime. Over the years, some of her favorite advancements in veterinary medicine include laser therapy, dental radiographs to better identify dental disease and awareness of pain control – especially in cats.

In addition to two beautiful feline family members, Porthana and Violet, Dr. Binor also enjoys spending time with her husband and two (human) children doing lots of fun family-friendly activities.

'We love Dr. Binor and have for years! She is so knowledgeable, has a wonderful personality, and is so responsive. Her patients and their parents are fortunate to have her. The entire team is fantastic!' ~ P.H.

  • Dr. Thomas N. Tenorio

    Auburn University, 1984

Dr. Tenorio is not only the owner of the Wauwatosa Veterinary Clinic, he’s also the driving force behind the compassionate care and high-quality medical services that the clinic provides. Although his role has evolved into more specialty & behind the scenes work in recent years, it's his leadership and vision that have helped the Wauwatosa Veterinary Clinic continue to grow and thrive after more than 40 years serving the community.

Dr. Tenorio chose to be a veterinarian because he says he’s always loved science, medicine and our pets. “Veterinary medicine was a natural fit.” As a doctor, his philosophy is to be an advocate for each patient and to provide a range of choices to our clients that is in the best interest of their pet, while also taking into consideration the client’s wishes and needs.  His favorite part of working at Wauwatosa Vet is “becoming friends with the clients and supporting the bond they have with their pet.” Some of his favorite advances in veterinary medicine are the variety of medications available now with fewer side effects for pets, the range of alternative medicine options that we’re able to provide to patients to help them, and the advent of Fear Free practices to help address our patients’ mental and emotional well-being in addition to their physical health.

Away from the clinic, Dr. Tenorio can be found tending to his 13 acre hobby farm that includes three Saddle Bred horses, two miniature donkeys, several chickens and a geko. His more conventional fukids include an English Bulldog named Wanda, a Chihuahua named Pinky (aka Spike) and a French Bulldog named Pickles. He also enjoys spending quality time with his wife Kristin and their daughter and two sons.

'When we first came to the metro Milwaukee area, we had a veterinarian diagnose our dog with a disease he didn't have. Dr. Tenorio quickly identified the error and treated him appropriately. We have been going back with all of our pets for over 25 years now. The staff is attentive and responsive. They offer many options to accommodate your comfort level and budget. I have recommended them to many friends/co-workers and will continue to do so with confidence.' ~ C.S.

  • Dr. Ericka Haynes

    University of Wisconsin-Madison, 2007

Dr. Haynes has been a member of our team since 2014 and she has developed a very loyal fan base ever since. Her enthusiasm for her job stems from her deep love of animals and also the great clients that we have at Wauwatosa Vet. “Our clients are exceptionally emotionally invested in their companions’ well-being and I am committed to respecting clients and patients equally.” She especially enjoys dermatology and helping patients with challenging conditions.

Dr. Haynes comes from a large family that includes 4 siblings and in addition to spending time with her cat Nala and dog Riesling, she also enjoys reading, attending various cultural events and volunteering – especially if it involves kids.

'Of all the doctors I have ever met ( in all fields of medicine) Dr. Ericka Haynes is my favorite. She's caring, gentle and my dog LOVES her. He wags his whole body and flips over on his back when he sees her. I'm glad she's our vet!! We love her.' ~ A.C.

  • Dr. Stephanie Pasowicz

    Oregon State University, 2016

Dr. Pasowicz is known for being a huge Badgers and Green Bay Packers fan and she is also a devoted mom to her Siberian Husky, Kaiya.  She enjoys being a veterinarian because it’s a field that is constantly changing and evolving as new information and research leads to new treatment options and advances in how we can help our patients live longer, healthier lives.

In her work, Dr. Pasowicz strives to provide the best care possible for our four-legged friends that cannot speak for themselves.  She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but is especially interested in endocrinology and rehabilitation. She has been with the clinic since 2017.

'Dr. Pasowicz, as well as the rest of the staff, were awesome. I brought in my new puppy and even though I had been a previous client with a senior dog who had passed, Dr. P took lots of time answering my puppy questions. Dr. P went the extra mile to help my puppy's first vet experience be a very positive one.'' ~ L.D.

  • Dr. Mallory Bonstrom

    University of Wisconsin-Madison, 2018

Dr. Bonstrom is the proud mom to two feline furkids, Beanie and Maverick, and in her spare time enjoys rowing, running and traveling.  She chose to go into veterinary medicine because she enjoys helping people through helping their pets and she is particularly interested in integrative medicine, surgery, preventive care and working with senior pets.

Her approach to medicine is collaborative – she seeks to work together with pet parents to help them provide the best possible care to their furry family members.  That’s part of why she enjoys working at the Wauwatosa Veterinary Clinic, because “our clients consider their pets as part of the family and they want to do what’s best for them.”  She is currently working on her Veterinary Acupuncture certification and has been treating pets with acupuncture at the Wauwatosa Veterinary Clinic since 2018.

'The care provided at Wauwatosa Veterinary Clinic is incredible. Dr. Mallory Bonstrom was absolutely fantastic. She has a great bedside manner with the pets and the owners. She is compassionate, empathetic and truly cares about her patients. She went above and beyond to ensure that we were well educated about our pet's test results and all of the treatment options. We truly felt llike we got the absolute best care. We highly recommend Dr. Bonstrom and the Wauwatosa Veterinary Clinic!'
    ~ D.

Amy says that one of her favorite parts about working at Wauwatosa Veterinary Clinic is getting to work with other professionals who care about the patients they work with as though they were their own. “I have seen many changes over the years working in veterinary medicine but one thing that stays consistent is this field is a calling for an individual. You have to be a person who not only loves animals, but also loves making a profound impact helping people and their furry family members.

Outside of the clinic, Amy likes spending time with her husband Pete and their two dogs –Cash, a 9-year-old German Shorthair Pointer/Lab mix and Waylon, a 2-year-old Yellow Labrador.
