About the Role

Are you an experienced Veterinary Assistant who would like to expand your technical skills and further your career? We are looking for a hard-working candidate with a passion for animals and the drive to excel in a hospital committed to high-quality veterinary care and client service. 

We are looking for someone who has previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant, who loves to learn, and has a positive, caring personality. This position includes the following duties -- assisting doctors in appointments, client education, venipuncture, processing lab work, filling pharmacy prescriptions, and radiology.

In addition to our conventional veterinary services, we also offer Diagnostic Ultrasound, Echocardiograms, Acupuncture, Acupressure, Physical Rehabilitation, Therapeutic Laser, Massage and Behavior Consultations.

Typical schedule is 4 days per week and 2 Saturday mornings per month. No overnights, major holidays, or Sundays. Plus, you never have to worry about working overnights, Sundays, or major holidays! 

Veterinary Assistants need to have great communication and customer service skills and be detail-oriented and passionate about a career in a helping profession. We are committed to ongoing training and education to help you continually grow in your career with animals!

The Wauwatosa Veterinary Clinic is a multi-Doctor, AAHA-accredited practice, dedicated to providing the very best medicine and surgery for our patients, and exceptional client care. Our mission is to promote happiness through healthy pets and we achieve this by offering a wide spectrum of conventional and integrative health care options and using a Fear Free/Low-Stress Handling approach.

Candidates must be available to work at least 2 evenings until 6:30 pm and up to 2 Saturday mornings per month.
